So fascinating being here-- I want to get the best of both worlds and combine them!
Ilana-- Paris, oh I wish! At the moment I think my traveling may be winding down for a bit, to give my bank account a rest.HWEladhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06650916208714317375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2679250124748682578.post-88152523517108843002011-11-10T15:23:01.637+01:002011-11-10T15:23:01.637+01:00"I’m trying to remember how I always knew tha..."I’m trying to remember how I always knew that I was my teachers’ favorite—I’d like to slip her some sort of hint that her work is really astounding and that I can see she’s both working hard and brilliant. Something more professional than gushing approval and more expansive than curt messages in the margins of her journals. Or perhaps she just knows."
Wonderful bit. I hope the students I particularly appreciate know it in some way or other. Sometimes they are so focused that they miss our subtle remarks but, on the other hand, if the remarks are not subtle the others feel left out and disliked.
I had written an extensive answer on the welfare system but it "deleted itself". If I feel brave I'll come back and write it again.
Hope you like Dublin. What makes us vulnerable, but also more free than Americans, is; we don't have that organized
Big Brother sees you system. We are not well protected from extremists. I was relieved when our prime minister proclaimed after Utøya; "we want to create a more open society, but also a safer". I sincerely hope that is possible.
Wow, it's early in the morning, I have to get ready for the day.
Give my best to Dublin, the town I always want to return to. Sorry about Joyce.Felisol https://www.blogger.com/profile/12240191154632603841noreply@blogger.com
